The wings, landing gear, and prop have been removed from Captain Johannsson's
Pitts S-2 and it has been mounted on a custom sled. Soon it will
be in the cargo hold for the return flight to Iceland. The J-3 Cub
is undergoing a similar treatment. A young boy just handed me two
commemorative patches from Air Atlanta Iselandic. I thanked him and
asked him what time he will leave tomorrow. In very broken English
he told me, "Ten o'clock in the morning, then to Milwaukee for customs,
then to Iceland." I appreciate the information because I want to
see the takeoff.
