This picture was taken later in the day after I had learned a bit more about the plane. To give a sense of scale, that's me standing by the float and I'm 6'4" (1.93 m). The plane is an Air Tractor AT-802F
The AT-802 series was introduced in 1993. More than 120 AT-802's and 802F's have been delivered to agricultural and firefighting operations around the world. Less than 10, however, are currently on floats. The floatplane conversion is performed by Wipaire. The engine for the AT-802 series is a P&W turboprop, either a PT6A-65AG (1295 hp) or a PT6A-67AG (1350 hp). Gross weight is 16,000 lb (7,260 kg).
